Hey I’m back!
Oh gosh, it’s been almost a month since investiture.
Going around school without my nametag felt out of place initially. And to my bewilderment, I actually subconsciously put my name tag on even a week after investiture, only to realise when walking up the council steps. Well people say old habits die hard, and I say so do routines.
So much have happened over this time period. Over the month, spoilt and changed phone almost a zillion times before I’ve finally decided to stick to a 2nd hand O2 Atom Pure. Oh my, this is a one of a kind. One of the best phones ever used. The built in WiFi especially got my class and even myself crazy over the hotspots in school. We’re almost experts by now on where to find wireless signals in school.
The match support period which I could vividly recall our red shirts period last year. Our soccer boys didn’t make it to finals due to the penalties; soccer girls clinched the second place. Hockey girls and Basketball girls clinched champions. The reenactment of these matches, the joy and sadness of the players, brought back mixed emotions, just as red-shirting made us feel as though we were a part of the game.
Of course, there were embarrassing moments as well. Though I’ve constantly reminded myself I must never look back at it again, I can’t help but recall how our wonderful emcee decided to sabotage me like that. “It’s ok, at least you will know what to write when ever presented with an essay, ‘My Most Embarrasing Moment’ hahas”. Such sarcasm.
Oh, and full day, on the last day of school. Went prata-ing after getting lost around the Tanah Merah area thanks to Park’s wonderful set of instructions, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean with S55.
This school holiday has definitely been more than welcomed; it’s been anticipated even weeks way before it came. More sleep definitely, and no more lectures, tutorials for a good one month. Things are finally slowly down. And the recent badminton and gyming for the first time last Monday with Derick left my body protesting like it’s never been before.
Oh, and there’s piano rehearsal. I’ve just received the tickets, anyone interested for Piano Concert on 21st July?
Flying off to Silicon Valley yet for a study trip on the 16th would mean only half the time left to prepare for the upcoming Common Test 2. In addition, not to mention having to complete the Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics websites by then too with the rest of my team. CT2, too much is at stake. I’ll need to focus really soon.
And as 14th June slowly approaches, the team members shall just cross their fingers and hope for the best. We’re in good hands. Thinkquest. It’s a laptop that’s wagered!
