Ah the past 4 days have been really great. Visiting cool places and meeting cool people. The exchange of ideas and seeing what I’ve always been involved in has been really overwhelming. Meeting the people who created the Adobe suite, hearing from the professionals from the Infocomm Industries have indeed been a great experience.

summing the holidays

15 06 2007

Ah… So much for all the hard work and anticipation, and to think that we aren’t even a finalist! I seriously doubt the reliability of the internal judging. What a disappointment.

Nonetheless, it was a feat, team. Never have I expected to be able to with you IT pros and, putting together the expertise of the dynamic team to present such a product, such a website. Definitely not within the means of an individual, definitely not within my capabilities. Guess we’ll just move on from here.

It’s been a work filled yet enjoyable holiday, simply due to the fact that CT2 is just round the corner, but also because of the numerous activities with friends.

Yeah, piano coaching and rehearsals took up the whole 2nd week. Following which were the desperate attempts to study at the most unexpected places – at the CT table with Jiun Hoe, Wei2, Jia Wei, Darel’s new cosy home with Chris and Chee, with the juniors during the final day rehearsals, Foong, Ray and Siong in the CO room.

Ah, and those unforgettable activities, that time when George came over and DOTA-ed against his brother alongside with me. And that was the showcase of the best teamwork ever.

And there was Under No Roof where together with the team, See Kiat, Ray, Wei Xin, Ke Jun, Krisnan, worked together to sell bricks and build the houses for more than 8 hours. And to think Ray and See Kiat became overly obsessed with garbage clearing. Gah.

Not forgetting that particular running session with Darel around his industrial estate which left our bodies with increased Carbon Monoxide concentration. And the second session where Chris and Chee were present; how we stupidly tried to play badminton outdoors after walking miles to buy shuttlecocks, and our desperate attempts to knock on Darel’s every new neighbor to see who has a soccer ball that we probably could borrow. Until we decided to borrow from Yonghong.

Going over to Chengwei’s supposedly as a surprise visit with the CT guys after his operation, turned out to be movie-ing session of the Mean Girls. Yeah, and that’s all for surprises, we ended up waiting at his door while he was answering nature’s call, and later showed up in the most unglam physical form – topless in a sling. Hahas.

Anyway, thanks for the Silver Surfer movie treat Darel, and yes for your reminder, I do know who to look for when I’ve good things in future. Can’t believe you won me and Chris for that crucial foosball match at Adidas’ after that.

Alright, I’m already typing blindly here in the most broken English ever, considering that I’m nervous and excited about tomorrow’s long 15 or more hours flight to the other end of the world with Infocomm. It’s 11pm and I better be off now so as not to miss that 9.15am flight tomorrow. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Ah yes, and the consequences, upon returning, would be facing the gallows. Study hard people. Less than 2 weeks more.

See ya soon.
